How has God used you today?
I just had a Bible study with members of the CLA, and Mark Anschutz told a story he remembered about Marxhausen. Reinhold used to tell his students that they were tools in God's hands, and he'd ask them "How has God used you today?" If an artist has a good tool, he uses it a lot, to the point the tool becomes well-worn and very familiar. A tool is not made to just sit in a toolbox, ready to work, but not being used.

Book Review in SCI
This article is a book review printed in the Seward County Independent on July 24, 1985. I was given a copy last year when I visited Marxhausen's studio. Just this week, I discovered a copy of the book reviewed here at Link Library. In addition to a collection of videos produced by Marxy, Link library has these resources as well: a book entitled Seeds from the Sower: Responses to the Parables of Jesus which includes art by Marxhausen and several other CUNE art faculty; Seward Drawings by Karl Marxhausen, which also includes a note thanking his dad; and a vinyl record of the sounds created by sculptures by several notable artists in the field, including Marxy.
